Pedorthic assessments include postural and gait evaluation, as well as symptom-specific and functional testing. Treatment options are outlined, which may include: custom foot orthotics, off-the-shelf accessories, shoe modifications recommendations, as well as referrals to other health practitioners. If custom orthotics are part of treatment, a cast of the patient's feet will be taken during the assessment.

A custom foot orthotic is a medical device meant to be worn in the shoe, made from a 3D cast of the patient’s feet. It not only comfortably supports the bone structure of the feet but can be used to alter the forces and redistribute pressures acting on the foot, ankle, and knee — aimed at reducing pain and promoting healing of injured tissues.

Remedy Orthotics caters to people of all backgrounds, each with their own unique foot and lower limb ailments, athletic pursuits, and comfort needs. Comfort and shoe fit is paramount, so we strive for harmony between the orthotic and your footwear of choice.
